PARADE The 30’s 39″x53″
In my travels and stops at quilt shops, I often pick up a charm pack. They are fun to collect, and I can always find a project at home. I thought this hand picked pack from a shop in Texas might be good in PARADE. A lot of white background works well with the 30’s. This pack had two of each print, so I made two identical columns. Without planning, I also faced the two columns the same, instead of mirror-imaging them. I did plan it so the dark square landed in the middle and the lighter on the outside. The effect of the dark center row and fading out lighter was better than I thought it might be. I’ll do it like this again.
