BUSY BEE Tapestry Scraps 45″ x 63″
I cut up all of my old scraps into 5″x 9 1/2″. That size is big enough to use up the odds and ends once and for all. These 5″x 9 1/2″ are great for all kinds of quick quilts with our patterns and variations of our patterns. Just about any patterns that call for 5″x10″ or 5″x 9 1/2″ can be used.
When Mom could no longer sew, I gave her stacks of these pieces and had her make pairs for me to use in donation quilts. This version of BUSY BEE uses all 5″x 9 1/2″, instead half of the blocks being made with 3 1/2″x 9 1/2″. It works up the same, and I used 35 blocks and no 5″ squares borders, so it made up even more simply for the same size.
